Iodinated Resin Products

Iodinated Resin Products offer a method of purification through the natural process of electrostatic attraction. Poly iodine ions are bound to an ion exchange resin, creating a positively charged structure. This positive charge attracts negatively charged water born microorganisms. When these microorganisms come in contact with the iodinated resin bead, a controlled amount of iodine is released from the resin bead, which penetrates and deactivates the microorganisms. This process is called release on demand technology and is extremely effective.

All of ESP’s residential Point of Use (POU) filters and cartridges contain post filtration media for the removal of residual iodine and iodide. The commercial cartridges require a separate post iodine/iodide removal media cartridge. In addition to ESP Products, we offer a full line of replacement filters and cartridges for PentaPure ® Systems.
