Microline Frequently Asked Questions

What contaminants can Microline reverse osmosis filters and membrane remove?

Microline reverse osmosis (RO) filters and membranes remove a variety of contaminants from water. This includes minerals and heavy metals (such as lead and mercury), disinfectants like chlorine and chloramine, sediments, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrates, pharmaceutical residues, and total dissolved solids (TDS). It's important to note that no water filtration system can eliminate every single impurity. Specific removal capabilities may vary based on the model, but overall, Microline RO systems offer robust protection against a broad spectrum of water contaminants. How do I order replacement filters for my Microline RO drinking water filtration system?

Start by clicking on the photo of your Microline system above. From there, you can add the needed filters to your cart. In some cases, you can save time by ordering all of the needed filters in one "filter kit" (not available for all Microline models). Keep in mind that the RO membrane usually only needs to be replaced every two years, while the sediment and carbon filters are replaced every 6-12 months depending on water usage and water quality.

Select your Microline RO unit from the list above. You will be taken to a new page that shows the available membrane and filters for your RO system. Be sure to select the correct membrane size (listed in GPD or gallons per day). If you have any questions, please call our customer support team at 877-377-9876. We're available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Central Time.

Do Microline RO filters require professional installation?

Microline RO filters are designed for straightforward installation and can often be set up by homeowners without professional assistance. Clear instructions and user-friendly components make the process accessible. However, for those uncomfortable with plumbing tasks or seeking absolute certainty, professional installation services are available.
