Luminor 130031 Temperature Relief Valve Kit 1/2-Inch FNPT

The 130031 is a genuine Luminor temperature relief valve kit with a 1/2-inch FNPT connection. The temperature relief valve (TRV) protects a Luminor UV system from overheating during long periods without water flow, when the UV lamp keeps warming the standing water in the chamber. When the water inside the chamber reaches the valve's preset temperature, the valve automatically releases a small amount of water to drain so fresh, cooler water can enter. It works without electrical power and comes complete with 10 feet of drain line.

When to use it

Luminor recommends a temperature management device for installations with extended no-flow periods, such as vacation homes, seasonal properties and low-demand commercial lines, and wherever the temperature of treated water is critical.

Luminor sizes its temperature relief valves by connection: 130031 (1/2-inch), 130032 (3/4-inch), 130033 (1-inch) and 130034 (1-1/2-inch). The smallest 2 GPM BLACKCOMB 4.1 (LB4-021) has no temperature relief valve option.
