Q&A
Q:
What is the Omnipure CL6ROT33 used for?
A:
It is an inline granular activated carbon filter used to reduce chlorine taste and odor, often as a polishing stage on an RO system, water cooler, ice machine, drinking fountain, or under-sink line.
Q:
Which systems does the catalog associate with the Omnipure CL6ROT33?
A:
The catalog does not provide an approved model list for Omnipure CL6ROT33. Match the part number, dimensions, connection style, and treatment role shown on the existing component before ordering.
Q:
What connection option should I order?
A:
CL6ROT33-BB uses 1/4-inch female threaded connections, while CL6ROT33-CC uses 3/8-inch female threaded connections. Match the tubing and fittings before ordering.
Q:
Does the Omnipure CL6ROT33 have a required flow direction?
A:
Yes. Install it in the direction marked on the filter body so water passes through the media as designed.
Q:
How often should this inline carbon filter be replaced?
A:
Replace it every 6 to 12 months or according to the equipment schedule. Water use, chlorine loading, and a return of taste or odor can shorten the interval.
Q:
Can I choose another inline filter just because it is 2-by-6-inch?
A:
No. Match the media type, body length and diameter, connection size, flow direction, and equipment requirements. Similar-looking inline filters can serve different treatment roles.
