"I've use other brands that were not good at being carbon filters. The water still tasted like chlorine when using them. These ones are excellent and do the job. I've not tested the .5 micron filtration but I'm convinced it works"

Q&A
Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
What does the Omnipure OMB934-05m reduce?
A:
This 0.5-micron carbon block is designed to reduce chlorine taste and odor plus fine suspended particles. Actual performance and capacity depend on incoming water conditions and flow.
Q:
What systems or housings fit the Omnipure OMB934-05m?
A:
The catalog lists OMB934-05M, Omnipure OMB Series. Check the exact model or part number on the existing equipment before ordering Omnipure OMB934-05m. Its nominal cartridge size is 2.5-by-9.75-inch; verify the housing size before ordering.
Q:
How is a carbon block different from a sediment-only filter?
A:
A carbon block combines particulate filtration with activated carbon treatment for taste and odor. A sediment-only cartridge targets suspended particles but does not provide the same carbon treatment.
Q:
How often should the Omnipure OMB934-05m be replaced?
A:
Replace it every 6 to 12 months or according to the equipment schedule. Change it sooner if flow drops or taste and odor return.
Q:
Does a new Omnipure OMB934-05m need to be flushed?
A:
Flush the new cartridge according to the equipment instructions until carbon fines are cleared.
Q:
What should I verify before substituting another carbon cartridge?
A:
Match OMB934-05M and the 0.5-micron rating. The OMB934-1M, OMB934-5M, and OMB934-10M versions have different particulate ratings and may produce different pressure drop.
