Do Rainsoft compatible filters work directly in my Rainsoft system?
Some filters will require a system "conversion kit" be installed first (such as for the Rainsoft Ultrefiner II, Ultrefiner UF22, and Ultrefiner UF50 systems). A retrofit kit pays for itself pretty quickly as it allows you to keep using your current Rainsoft tank and faucet, but by installing a new manifold (component that holds the filters), you're able to use less expensive Rainsoft-compatible filters in the future. Our customer support team is happy to answer any questions you might have about this process. 877-377-9876 Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm CT.
Rainsoft propriety water filters can be very expensive. We offer a variety of high-quality (yet low-cost) alternatives for Rainsoft water filters. By installing the filters and conducting routine system maintenance yourself, you'll see substantial savings. You may need to convert your Rainsoft system to be able to use non-proprietary filters.
