The VIQUA C2-02 is the OEM factory replacement carbon block cartridge for VIQUA and Sterilight integrated UV systems. It does two jobs at once.
First, it filters. The carbon block is rated at 10 microns, so it captures the sand, silt, rust flakes, and scale particles that cloud your water. That matters for more than clarity: suspended particles can shade bacteria from UV light and coat the quartz sleeve, which quietly reduces how well your UV system disinfects. A clean pre-filter protects that performance.
Second, it polishes. The activated carbon adsorbs chlorine, chlorine taste, and odors — up to 40,000 gallons of chlorine reduction at 4 GPM.
The VIQUA C2-02 is the genuine replacement carbon block filter for a wide range of VIQUA and Sterilight integrated UV systems. It fits the VIQUA VH410-F12 and VH410-F22, as well as the VIQUA IHS Series models IHS12-D4, IHS22-D4, and IHS22-E4. It is also the correct carbon block for the VIQUA S12Q-WHSC whole home system.
On the Sterilight side, the C2-02 replaces the carbon block in the SC320 Series systems SC320-DWS12 and SC320-DWS22, along with the SCM320 Series systems SCM320-DWS12 and SCM320-DWS22. Because it uses the standard 4.5" x 20" cartridge form factor, the C2-02 also fits most conventional 20-inch "Big Blue" filter housings, making it a practical carbon stage for whole house systems outside the VIQUA lineup. If you are unsure which cartridge your system takes, check the model number on the label of your UV unit against the list above.
This is an OEM VIQUA cartridge built to the exact dimensions and flow characteristics of your system's housing. Aftermarket blocks in the same nominal size can seat poorly, restrict flow, or bypass around the gasket. This one drops in.

"Repeat order well done. Satisfied customer"
"I've tried the knock-offs, and they never fit right. This fits perfectly. Price was reasonable and no problems with the delivery."
"Also a great filter !"
"It does EXACTLY what I expect it to do. We are on a community water system of 70 homes"
"Good product"
"I needed to replace my filter sleeves that cracked over the winter. I recently bought a tiny house and my contractor put in the wrong filter sleeves and didn’t give me the correct filters. The service rep was able to talk me through the whole process including what filters I needed and how to replace the entire sleeve system to the CORRECT sleeves that esp water was able to get to me under warrenty. They made the entire process so smooth which was incredibly appreciated considering how much extra my contractor has created for me. Will always go through esp water for my future needs"
"Works great. Good quality. Good shipping time."
Q:
What does the VIQUA C2-02 reduce?
A:
This 10-micron carbon block is designed to reduce chlorine taste and odor plus suspended particles. Actual performance and capacity depend on incoming water conditions and flow.
Q:
What systems or housings fit the VIQUA C2-02?
A:
The catalog lists C2-02, IHS12-D4, IHS22-D4, IHS22-E4, VH200-F12, VH410-F12, VH410-F22. Check the exact model or part number on the existing equipment before ordering VIQUA C2-02. Its nominal cartridge size is 4.5-by-20-inch; verify the housing size before ordering.
Q:
How is a carbon block different from a sediment-only filter?
A:
A carbon block combines particulate filtration with activated carbon treatment for taste and odor. A sediment-only cartridge targets suspended particles but does not provide the same carbon treatment.
Q:
How often should the VIQUA C2-02 be replaced?
A:
VIQUA lists chlorine-reduction capacity up to 40,000 gallons at 4 GPM under test conditions. Replace it when capacity is reached, flow drops, or the system schedule requires.
Q:
Does a new VIQUA C2-02 need to be flushed?
A:
Flush the new cartridge according to the equipment instructions until carbon fines are cleared.
Q:
What should I verify before substituting another carbon cartridge?
A:
Match the part number, 10-micron rating, 4.5-by-20-inch size, treatment claims, and required flow. Cartridges with the same outside dimensions can use different carbon media and capacities.
