Replacement sleeve for obsolete VIQUA Sterilight SC-410, SCM-410, SPV-410, SPV-8 and SP410-HO UV systems. The quartz sleeve keeps the UV lamp from shorting out and maintains the lamp's ideal operating temperature of 104 Degrees Fahrenheit. Mineral build-up hinders the lamp's effectiveness. This sleeve features an open end and a domed end on the other.
Note: Be aware that the domed QS-410 is for UV model systems made between 2013-2017. Models before or after those dates require a different quartz sleeve.

Q:
Which systems use the VIQUA QS-410?
A:
The catalog does not provide an approved model list for VIQUA QS-410. Match the exact part number, dimensions, connection style, and equipment generation before ordering.
Q:
What does the VIQUA QS-410 do?
A:
It isolates the UV lamp from chamber water while allowing UV energy to pass through and helping the lamp operate at its intended temperature. This sleeve has one open end and one domed end. The product page identifies this domed version for certain 2013–2017 systems; confirm production generation before ordering.
Q:
How often should the quartz sleeve be replaced?
A:
Inspect it during lamp service and replace it if cracked, chipped, clouded, etched, or no longer restorable. Many owners replace sleeves about every 24 months, subject to the system manual and water conditions.
Q:
Can mineral scale be removed from the sleeve?
A:
Light scale can often be removed with the manufacturer-approved method. Rinse thoroughly and replace the sleeve if deposits, clouding, or etching remain.
Q:
Do I need new O-rings when replacing the sleeve?
A:
Inspect the seals whenever the chamber is opened. Replace O-rings that are cut, flattened, stretched, brittle, or leaking; use only a light coating of food-grade silicone lubricant if directed.
Q:
How can I avoid breaking the new sleeve?
A:
Shut off power and water, relieve pressure, handle quartz with clean gloves, remove grit from sealing surfaces, align the sleeve without forcing it, and tighten retaining parts evenly.
