Luminor LBH6-251A Blackcomb-HO 6.1 UV System NSF Class A 7.9 GPM

The Luminor LBH6-251A BLACKCOMB-HO 6.1 is a UV water disinfection system certified to NSF/ANSI 55 Class A. With its built-in flow restrictor it is rated at 7.9 GPM (29.9 L/min) at a UV dose of 40 mJ/cm² and 70% UV transmittance. Class A systems are designed to disinfect microbiologically contaminated water that meets all other public health standards, making the LBH6-251A a fit for private wells and other untreated supplies. It pairs a 67-watt high-output UV lamp with a 316L stainless steel chamber and a UV intensity sensor that continuously monitors the UV reaching the water.

How it works and alerts you

The full-colour LCD controller shows remaining lamp life, system status and fault messages. It gives a yellow caution 30 days before the lamp expires, audible and visual alarms for lamp failure or low UV, and a service reminder every 6 months. Its Infinite Expandability Port (IEP) accepts optional Luminor modules: MOD-SOL solenoid control, MOD-420 4-20 mA output, MOD-RAM remote alarm, the MOD-SHERPA wireless monitor and the LFM ultrasonic flow meter.

Why the rating is 7.9 GPM, not 25 GPM

The standard LBH6-251 is rated 25 GPM at 30 mJ/cm² and 95% UVT. The NSF Class A rating is stricter: it requires a higher dose (40 mJ/cm²) at lower water clarity (70% UVT), and the integral flow restrictor holds flow to the certified 7.9 GPM. Do not remove the flow restrictor; the certification depends on it.

• Install on visually clear water; Luminor strongly recommends a 5-micron sediment prefilter

Maintenance and replacement parts
