This 10-micron carbon block filter is the factory-specified pre-filtration replacement for the Pura and Aqua Flo UV20-3 ultraviolet disinfection system. Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42, it is engineered to reduce chlorine, chloramines, sediment, and organic matter before water reaches your UV chamber — keeping your lamp sleeve clear and your disinfection system working at full effectiveness.
Pre-filtration is not an optional step in a UV system. Contaminants that coat the quartz sleeve around your UV lamp can significantly reduce the UV dose delivered to your water, compromising the safety of your entire system. Replacing this filter on schedule every 6 to 12 months is one of the most important things you can do to protect your investment and your water quality.
