Q&A
Q:
Which systems use the PURA 36099205 channeling-sleeve gasket?
A:
The catalog-approved Fits value lists: O-RING, UV20, UV20-1, UV20-2 SD, UV20-3. Match the exact system label and part number before ordering PURA 36099205 channeling-sleeve gasket.
Q:
Where does the PURA 36099205 channeling-sleeve gasket install?
A:
It seals the channeling sleeve used in the catalog-listed UV20 systems. Install it in the same orientation and groove as the original.
Q:
When should this seal be replaced?
A:
Clean and inspect it whenever a filter, sleeve, or lamp is changed. Replace it if damaged, misshapen, or no longer sealing.
Q:
Can petroleum grease be used on this O-ring?
A:
No. Use only a light film of food-grade silicone lubricant if the equipment instructions call for it. Petroleum products can damage many elastomer seals.
Q:
Why can a new O-ring still leak?
A:
Common causes include debris in the groove, twisting, pinching, incorrect size, damaged quartz or adapter surfaces, uneven tightening, or repressurizing too quickly.
Q:
Is this the only seal needed for the service?
A:
Not necessarily. Identify every seal disturbed during the repair and compare the service diagram. This listing supplies only the named gasket or O-ring unless package contents state otherwise.
