Luminor LFM-1.5 Ultrasonic UV Flow Meter 1-1/2-Inch NPT

The LFM-1.5 is a genuine Luminor ultrasonic flow meter module for 1-1/2-inch plumbing on BLACKCOMB 5.1, BLACKCOMB 6.1 and BLACKCOMB-HO 5.1/6.1 UV systems. It measures flow with ultrasonic sensors, so there are no moving parts to wear, and shows real-time flow on the controller. When the meter detects no flow for a period of time, the UV system enters Energy Saver Mode and dims the lamp, reducing power use, sleeve fouling and heat build-up in standing water. As soon as flow resumes, the system returns to full power, and a built-in fail-safe returns the lamp to full power if the meter fails.

Choose the right size

Match the meter to the pipe size at the UV chamber inlet and to your flow: the LFM-1.5 covers 0.4-80 GPM. Luminor also offers the LFM-0.5 (1/2-inch, 0.1-20 GPM), LFM-0.75 (3/4-inch, 0.1-30 GPM), LFM-1.0 (1-inch, 0.15-60 GPM) and LFM-1.5 (1-1/2-inch, 0.4-80 GPM).

• Other BLACKCOMB 5.1/6.1 installations with 1-1/2-inch inlet plumbing and flow up to 80 GPM

Requirements: a BLACKCOMB 5.1 or 6.1 controller with an Infinite Expandability Port (IEP) and firmware version 2.13 or later (firmware can be upgraded in the field). BLACKCOMB 4.1 and BLACKCOMB-HO 4.1 controllers have no IEP and cannot use the flow meter.

Installation

• Install on the inlet to the UV chamber only, horizontally, with the label and LED facing sideways toward the user
• Provide straight inlet pipe of at least 15 inches (10 times the pipe diameter); allow 48 inches if a pump or flow-adjustment valve connects directly
• Plug the meter into the controller IEP or any Luminor module IEP; power it from the included 5V wall adapter (3 ft cable, GFCI outlet recommended)
• Keep the meter and cable away from motors, transformers and high-voltage lines; clean annually
